The ITIS-KAMAZ system (intelligent transport information system) is integrated into the onboard electrical system and connected to a common diagnostic line. The tracker reads from it the state of operational parameters and transmits the collected data via cellular communication to the service center. In addition, to prevent unauthorized discharges into the fuel tank, a fuel level sensor (FLS) is installed.
Installation of ITIS as an additional option was planned to start in January-February 2019, dealers will be able to install the system at the request of customers on any models, it is especially important that the installation of ITIS will have almost no effect on the price of the car.
First, the system cares about the quality of operation of the car, monitors whether the driver correctly selects the transmission. Economical driving extends the service life of components and assemblies, and allows you to save up to 10-15% of fuel. In addition, ITIS helps to control the quality of fuel, indicating to the driver on the map the places of optimal fuel stations.
Itis also records the axle load and, in case of overweight, the operator sends a signal to the driver to redistribute the load. This will help not only to avoid fine, but also to prevent excessive wear of equipment.
In the future, ITIS-KAMAZ will be able to remotely diagnose and assess the residual life of the vehicle. In the event of a breakdown on the road, the system will assess the extent of the malfunction and give recommendations to the driver, wait for the tow truck, go on their own to repair or complete the route. In the future, the company's specialists plan to “teach” the system to predict the time of failure of a node. The STC expects that this functionality will be available in two to three years.
